1 — Origin
Southern Saudi Architecture
Saudi architecture carries a distinct aesthetic, visible in ornamented windows and dareeshas, and in simple geometric repetitions like triangles and squares.
These patterns aren't limited to buildings — they appear in folk ornament and weaving too, reflecting the spirit of a place and its bond with the land.
2 — Abstraction
Simple shapes, carrying architectural memory
The Square
The core, pivotal shape of the Arabian dareesha, and one that lends itself to many of the identity's visual elements.
The Rectangle
Represents extension and clarity, repeating across Saudi windows and ornament, giving the identity a sense of stability and order.
The Triangle
Stands for movement and direction, recurring in southern ornament and openings. It adds a dynamic character, balancing solidity with momentum.
The Dareesha's Shadow
Present above and below, it reflects that the dareesha isn't a frame floating free — it's a form with a roof to shelter it and a base to hold it in place.
3 — Transformation
From a closed frame to an open window
The interior was left white to reflect the idea of space and openness, while the shapes extended outward to give a sense of movement, vitality, and a wide field of view.

From the jacaranda trees of the south, reflecting creativity and modernity.
Red & Burgundy
From Sadu weaving and folk textiles, standing for vitality and cultural identity.
Beige & Brown
From traditional mudbrick architecture, representing authenticity and roots.
Green
From the domes of Islamic architecture and from nature, standing for national identity and a tie to the land.
Shades of Blue
Reflects openness and breadth, giving the identity a contemporary dimension.
